Food Detox
Detoxification is a way of cleansing the body from the many impurities that have accumulated over the years, due to pollution, the chemicals and other harmful substances in our food, and even from previous illnesses that we have undergone. If the body is not cleansed from all these wastes, it can lead to diseases such as cancer.
One of the most important things in detoxification, or detox for short, is the food that a person takes in. Food is what constitutes our bodies, and it is what sustains us, so what we take in is very important, as it affects the body.
In food detox, there are certain important foods which one must take. One also needs to take in a lot of liquids in order to flush out the toxins inside. Some examples of foods to take are: green leafy vegetables, for the chlorophyll to eliminate environmental toxins; lemons, for the vitamin C; green tea, a famous anti-oxidant; cabbage and broccoli sprouts to help stimulate the enzymes; and most importantly, fruits. Food detox can never do away with these, as they are rich in practically all that was mentioned above; they are rich in vitamins, minerals, and fiber, which is one of the things that helps one to detoxify.
When you get into food detox, you will automatically feel the difference; when what you take in is healthy, you will feel good inside and out, and it will also show not only physically, but also in your attitude and disposition. When you are healthy, you are more relaxed, thus leading to less stress and irritants.
